Day in F'sted
This is downtown Fredricksted. There is a big pier where cruise ships come in, roosters, etc. The blue building is the Fredricksted Hotel, which is a landmark and flies the flag of every country that has owned St. Croix. There is also a very impeccable WWII memorial. To contrast the "tourist" part of F'sted with the part where people live, please observe the sideways picture of that street. they tell the tourists to stay out of that part of town. Fortunately, I am a local.
I went to Polly's, which is a very nice coffee shop, and read.
I visited Fort Fredrick, which is named after a Swedish fellow, who happened to be King, I guess. It has old cannons and looks pretty cool. I also took lots of pictures of the ocean.
Also, the birds here are different. They look nothing like the birds at home. It was relatively overcast today, just an FYI.
